Construction Manager Building Construction (m/f/d)
Salary - CHF115,000 - 120,000Role:
On behalf of our client, we are looking for an experienced individual as Construction Manager Building Construction for the realisation of demanding and architecturally high-quality construction projects in the Zurich region. You will take over the operational management of the execution from construction preparation and tendering to completion and handover and coordinate all contractor services. In addition to schedule, cost and quality management, you will be responsible for contract, construction accounting as well as defect and warranty management. Furthermore, you will assume technical leadership responsibility for junior construction managers and contribute to the further development of digital processes in construction management.
Responsibilities:
Independent construction management of demanding building construction projects from preparation to completion and handover
Coordination, leadership and supervision of all contractors, suppliers and executing trades on site
Responsibility for tendering, offer, awarding and contract management
Preparation of detailed specifications and cost estimates as well as conducting and evaluating tenders
Creation, coordination and ongoing monitoring of schedules, construction progress and contractor programmes
Management of construction accounting and cost control including forecasts, measurements, change management and invoice verification
Conducting regular quality and execution inspections and ensuring plan- and contract-compliant implementation
Organisation and leadership of construction and contractor meetings including minute-taking and action item management
Coordination of interfaces between architecture, specialist planning, client and executing companies
Responsibility for acceptances, defect management and warranty matters until completion of the respective work
Technical support and leadership of junior construction managers within assigned projects
Application and further development of digital working methods for construction administration, cost management, documentation and project execution
Qualifications:
Training as a certified construction manager, architect FH/ETH, civil engineer FH/ETH, technician HF construction planning or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in construction management of demanding building construction projects, preferably in Switzerland
Solid experience in cost estimation, tendering, awarding, contract management and construction administration
Very good knowledge of scheduling, cost control, construction accounting and change management
Sound knowledge of relevant SIA standards, NPK as well as Swiss construction and execution standards
Experience with digital construction administration and project management systems as well as technical leadership is an advantage
