About the job
During your assistantship, you will be co-responsible for the care groups focusing on dementia and behavioural disorders. Geriatric-gerontopsychiatric approaches are paramount. A later transfer to the Bächli care centre in Bassersdorf, where geriatric-rehabilitative approaches and palliative care are the focus, is possible.
Your tasks
- Ensuring a professionally high-standard medical treatment under the leadership of the medical management
- Maintaining open and transparent communication with residents, relatives, and external partners
- Close collaboration within the interprofessional team
- Participation in further training and continuous professional development of the medical service
Your profile
- Medical degree recognised in Switzerland
- Interest in geriatrics and working with elderly people
- Reliability, commitment, empathy, and ability to work in a team
- Confident German language skills; knowledge of foreign languages is an advantage

The KZU, with its two in-house day care centres, operates two care centres in Bassersdorf and Embrach as well as three care apartments in Nürensdorf and Winkel. It primarily offers a home to elderly, care-dependent people and, alongside various specialised services, a wide range of outpatient services. The KZU employs around 600 staff, including 75 apprentices and students across 17 different professional groups.
