About the job
At Kai Sushi, tradition and innovation of Japanese sushi art come together. In the modern styled interior, our experienced sushi masters create absolutely fresh and unforgettable sushi delicacies and Japanese tapas with a beautiful portion of imagination and only the best ingredients. Kai comes from Japanese and means coming together, sharing with each other. In 2006, we opened our first branch in Neu-Oerlikon. Our second restaurant followed in 2014 on Lessingstrasse near Sihlcity. Since 2018, we have been running our third restaurant in the vibrant Kreis 5, near Hardbrücke, at Schiffbau.
The Kai Sushi family is immediately looking for support with weekend shifts for the following position:
a sushi chef (100%)

Your tasks
- Preparation and creation of mise en place for the hot kitchen and the sushi kitchen
- Preparation of hot dishes, salads, and desserts
- Support in sushi production for events and catering inside and outside the operation
- Ensuring and controlling quality and hygiene regulations at the workplace
- Co-responsibility for ordering
- Receiving and checking deliveries
- General cleaning and office tasks
Your profile
- At least 5 years of work experience as a cook
- Good knowledge in the preparation of sushi and Japanese specialties
- You work cleanly, precisely, and are reliable and independent
- You work team-oriented and are resilient
- Conscientious and like to pitch in properly
