Head of IT Infrastructure
Your tasks
- Technical and personnel leadership of the entire infrastructure area with six teams as well as promoting active, transparent collaboration
- Ensuring stable, secure and highly available infrastructure operations as well as professional service delivery
- Responsibility for infrastructure architecture and sound technology decisions throughout the entire lifecycle
- Strategic planning and further development of the areas of network, endpoint & server, storage and cloud systems
- Initiation and management of infrastructure, consolidation and transformation projects, for example in the data centre and cloud environment
- Management of external suppliers and partners to ensure reliable, economical service delivery
- Planning and support of annual audits by external revision as well as ensuring all IT compliance, operational security and regulatory requirements
- Management of budget and resource planning including demand-based prioritisation of projects
- Development, further development and monitoring of IT security policies and IT processes, including the internal control system (ICS)
- Active support of your teams in demanding operational and conceptual issues
Your profile
- Completed studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable technical education
- Several years of leadership and management experience in a demanding IT infrastructure organisation, ideally with several specialised teams
- Sound knowledge in the areas of network, workplace/endpoint, server, storage, data centre and cloud infrastructure
- Proven experience in infrastructure architecture, technology and lifecycle decisions as well as in the implementation of complex transformation projects
- Confident handling of IT governance, IT compliance, ICS, audit requirements and operational security specifications
- Experienced in managing suppliers and partners as well as in budget, resource and portfolio planning
- Strong decision-making, prioritisation and implementation skills, even in challenging situations
- Clear, target group-appropriate communication, professional appearance and constructive handling of different interests and various stakeholders
- Entrepreneurial thinking, high customer orientation and enjoyment in actively and pragmatically driving change
- Fluent in German and English; knowledge of French is an advantage
