As part of a maternity leave replacement, we are looking for our EFIB nursery in Bern, a

Site Manager at 100%

Fixed-term contract of 6 months

🌱 Your mission

During the maternity leave of the incumbent, your mission will be to ensure the pedagogical, administrative and organisational management of the nursery, guaranteeing the quality of care and development of the children, team management, and communication with families.

🚩 Main responsibilities

• Manage administrative tasks (registrations, billing, monitoring children and family files).
• Monitor the budget and manage the nursery’s material resources.
• Supervise the quality of educational practices within the team.
• Welcome, inform and support families.
• Be the main contact for parents in case of need or difficulty.
• Organise schedules and allocate responsibilities within the team.
• Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety and health standards.
• Keep institutional documents and necessary reports up to date (with authorities, headquarters, etc.).
• Represent the nursery in meetings or external projects.
• Ensure consistency between nursery practices and the institution’s values.

🤝 Your profile

• Tertiary diploma in early childhood education (ES early childhood educator or equivalent), ideally complemented by training in management or administration.
• Proven experience in leadership or team coordination in early childhood.
• Strong managerial, organisational and pedagogical skills.
• Fluency in French, German is an asset.
• Interpersonal skills, sense of listening, mediation and communication.
• Ability to manage priorities and make decisions.
