The Liaison Psychiatry Unit (UPL) is recognised as a postgraduate training site in psychiatry and psychotherapy (category A) as well as for the entire advanced training in consultation-liaison psychiatry.
The UPL’s mission is to provide consultation-liaison services (adult and elderly patients) in the main somatic hospitals of Northern Vaud: the eHnv of Yverdon, St-Loup and Orbe, the Intercantonal Hospital of Broye in Payerne and the acute care hospital of Ste-Croix. The UPL is also heavily involved in the cantonal emergency response (mandate from the Directorate General of Health).
The UPL formally collaborates with the Yverdon Obesity and Bariatric Surgery Centre (CYOCB) in the context of psychological and/or psychiatric care for surgical or conservative treatments.
The CYOCB consists of a multidisciplinary team of about fifteen trained collaborators (surgeons, dieticians, psychiatrist and psychologists).
