We are a successful Swiss family business operating internationally in the fruit and vegetable sector. Our corporate culture is characterized by dynamism, openness, and agility. In all our activities, not only our customers but also our employees are at the center. To complement our team, we are looking for a Buyer and Seller – Fruits and Vegetables (m/f/d)

Your tasks:

• Independent, international procurement for several product groups (from disposition, price negotiation, order processing to invoice handling)
• Active sales and consulting activities for customers throughout Switzerland in the food retail sector (including price negotiations, assortment design, etc.) & wholesale/gastronomy business
• Creating assortment comparisons and proposals for assortment optimization as well as assisting in designing an attractive market offer (Category Management)
• Building new business fields, products, suppliers, and customers

Your profile:

• Successfully completed commercial apprenticeship, training/continuing education in sales & procurement
• Several years of experience in the food industry as well as good food expertise (experience in the fruit and vegetable sector is an advantage)
• Enjoyment in customer/supplier contact and working in an active, dynamic team
• Strong organizational skills, independent working style with high quality awareness and flexibility or agility
• "Hands-on mentality" combined with independent, efficient, and reliable working style
• Entrepreneurial, responsible, and goal-oriented thinking and acting
• Communicative, strong negotiation and assertiveness skills
• Networker: quickly and easily builds relationships
• Resilient, conscientious, and motivated team player
• Willingness to travel and openness to foreign cultures
• Fluent German in spoken and written form, comprehensive foreign language skills in English, Italian, and French, Spanish is an advantage
• Good knowledge of the MS Office suite (experience with Abacus is an advantage)
