Head of Structural Engineering / Deputy Head of Construction + Planning (80–100 %)

Your Responsibilities

• Responsibility for the structural engineering area, processing building application and approval procedures including building inspections
• Advising clients, planners and the public, and close cooperation with authorities and specialist offices
• Project management and client representation for municipal structural engineering projects as well as planning and coordination of maintenance work for municipally owned properties
• Budget and investment planning, cost control, construction billing, tendering procedures
• Contact person for the municipal council and commissions, implementation of resolutions and participation in cross-departmental projects
• Deputy management during the absence of the Head of Construction + Planning and close collaboration with the technical services
• Function as bfu safety delegate for the municipality of Bellach as well as BESIBE in the administration area

Your Profile

• Completed training as a draughtsperson EFZ specialising in architecture, preferably with further relevant education, or an equivalent qualification
• Several years of professional experience (structural engineering, public administration or construction and project management)
• Good knowledge of construction, planning and procurement law
• Leadership experience and enthusiasm for taking on leadership responsibilities
• Independent, structured and solution-oriented working style with organisational and negotiation skills
• Team spirit, social competence and assertiveness
• Confident use of digital tools as well as good oral and written communication skills
• Willingness to attend evening meetings
