The central role of the labor inspectorate is labor market supervision and the protection of employee rights as well as ensuring fair and safe working conditions. The inspector contributes with his/her work to combating grievances and promoting a fair and transparent labor market.
We are looking for a
Inspector in Labor Market 80–100 %
immediately or by agreement with the workplace in Glarus.
Tasks
- Assisting in the enforcement of labor market supervision, particularly monitoring and ensuring compliance with labor law regulations
- Professional support and representation of management
- Ensuring wage and working conditions for cross-border service providers and EU job applications with Swiss employers
- Planning, organizing, and conducting black market inspections
- Fieldwork on construction sites and in trade/industry
- Reviewing application documents for positions requiring approval
- Issuing work permits for third-country nationals
- Participation in regional/national working groups
Requirements
- Technical or commercial basic training with specific professional experience
- Further training as a specialist in ASGS or willingness to complete it
- Knowledge of foreign and labor law is an advantage
- Driver's license category B, private vehicle required for official use
- Confident written and oral correspondence
- High level of resilience, sense of responsibility, and decisiveness
- Customer orientation and enjoyment in dealing with people
