About the job
We are two versatile Catholic parishes in the Oberbaselbiet region and offer contemporary employment conditions according to the guidelines of the Roman Catholic Church of Baselland. The parish of Sissach comprises 17 political municipalities with approximately 3,350 believers, and the parish of Gelterkinden comprises 14 political municipalities with approximately 2,170 believers.
To complement our team, we are looking for a religious education teacher at primary school level 60 % from the 2026/2027 school year or by arrangement (approximately 40% in Sissach and approximately 20% in Gelterkinden).
Your tasks:
- Teaching ecumenical religious education at the primary schools in Sissach and Gelterkinden
- Assisting, if interested, with extracurricular first communion preparation, projects, and children/family services
- Substituting for other religious education teachers during their absence
We expect:
- Completed catechetical training; RPI, ForModula or other church/pedagogical training
- Joy and motivation in working as part of a team with children
- Participation in 3 to 4 meetings of the teaching team per year
- Willingness to collaborate in both parishes and the ecumenical community
