The Association pour l'Assurance Qualité des Fabricants de Bracelets Cuir (AQC) is a forward-thinking organisation based in Neuchâtel, Switzerland . Its small team is made up of dynamic, motivated people with a strong spirit of mutual support.
The vision of our association is to ensure a leather bracelet with the highest level of safety and proactively act for a responsible global supply chain.
YOUR MAIN MISSIONS:
- Ensure the smooth running of the AQC and the implementation of projects assigned to you.
- Ensure the chemical conformity of materials used in commercial productions and projects assigned by the Board.
- Act as the Traceability Process Owner
- Support internal and external audits and certifications
MISSION 1: Ensure the smooth running of the association
- Participating in the development of strategy and organisation with the statutory bodies in accordance with the responsibilities of the established processes
- Establish and ensure the proper execution of the budget in accordance with the responsibilities of the established processes
- Report to the Board on the projects entrusted to him/her
- Taking part in and preparing meetings with the other team members, the technical working groups, and the Board
- Management of relations and contracts with external service providers within his/her scope
- Developing external relations and representing the association and its members
- Ensuring that AQC members and their stakeholders are informed of current and proposed regulatory requirements and their impact on their activities
MISSION 2: Chemical Compliance
- Define the test policy and control plans for all components and finished products
- Responsible for proper sampling, sending to the laboratory, reviewing reports and summarising in databases
- Management of non-conformities (investigations and associated action plans)
- Technical and regulatory monitoring and recommendations to members to prepare for future regulations
- Analyse the brand requests received by members
MISSION 3: Traceability
- Define RoadMap objectives
- Manage Supply Chain Mapping system and annual delivery
- Ensure regulatory and technology monitoring
- Lead technical committees
- Participate in traceability projects
MISSION 4: Credibility
- Act as the Physical Test Harmonization and Standardization Process Owner: Define RoadMap objectives; Lead harmonization of methods with AQC members, Watch Brands and Standardization Committees; Ensure regulatory and technology monitoring; Lead Harmonization Technical Committee; Provide technical support to members; manage production of synthetic sweats, chrome VI quick test kits, and other reagents
- Support the definition of the requirements for each certification with the members (specifications, audit questionnaires, etc.) based on the current and future regulatory context, as well as the needs of the watch brands
- Update the rules for evaluating leather suppliers
- Annually update the assessments of leather suppliers, inform the recipients and manage the distribution of proofs (such as badges)
- Organise and carry out laboratories visits
Knowledge & Know-how
- Advanced degree in science, ideally leather and/or chemistry
- Excellent command of English and French, Italian is an advantage
- Team management, team spirit and project management
- Organisation and preparation of meetings and events. Neat presentation (oral/written)
- Comfortable dealing and negotiating with multiple stakeholders
- Understanding the legislative and regulatory aspects
- Data and database management
- IT tools (advantage): database, no code (Make, Zapier, PowerAutomat), Python
Experience
- At least 5 years’ significant experience in leather and leather goods (manufacturing, supply chain, testing…)
