MBG Verwaltungs AG manages the entire property portfolio as a 100% subsidiary of the Mieter-Baugenossenschaft Basel, which has been providing cooperative housing for over 100 years. These demanding services are also offered to external partners according to their individual needs.

To strengthen our caretaker team, we are looking immediately or by arrangement for a loyal individual who wishes to commit to our company in the long term. As a caretaker of our residential properties, you can rely not only on broad technical knowledge but also on your strong social skills. You form the valuable interface between the administration and the residents on site.

Caretaker 100% for Residential Properties

Your tasks include

• Contact person on site for tenants, craftsmen, external cleaning staff, and the gardener
• Processing and completion of repair reports
• Commissioning and supervising external craftsmen to remedy repairs, damage cases, and regular maintenance work
• Assisting with apartment renovations and construction projects
• Monitoring all technical facilities and recognising damage
• Assisting with the rental process, attaching nameplates, and providing instructions to new tenants
• Inspection rounds of the properties and monitoring compliance with house rules, general cleanliness, keeping escape routes clear
• Wiping outdoor areas, paths, squares, ramps, cellar entrances, cleaning drains, gutters, and collectors
• Clearing snow and salting
• Mowing lawns, trimming edges, recognising and removing neophytes, cutting hedges, removing leaves
• Cleaning and maintenance of the assigned service vehicle

You bring with you

• Completed training as a specialist in operational maintenance and several years of professional experience in building maintenance
• Independent, reliable, and cost-conscious working style
• Team player with communication skills and good manners
• Confident German in spoken and written form and proficient in MS Office applications
• Driving licence category B
