Social Worker
Social Office | 60% | Thusis
The cantonal social office fulfills the task of personal social and addiction assistance on behalf of the municipalities and supports people in accessing economic social assistance. To do this, it operates eight regional social services in the regions of the canton. The regional social service of Mittelbünden is responsible for 25 municipalities with a catchment area of 22,000 people.
We are looking for a social worker for the Thusis location starting February 1, 2026 or by agreement.
Your area of responsibility
- Solution- and resource-oriented social counseling for individuals and families
- Access to social insurance benefits as well as economic social assistance
- Counseling of recognized and provisionally admitted refugees and foreigners regarding linguistic, professional, and social integration
- Collaboration with social authorities and specialized agencies
- Other diverse, interesting, and responsible tasks
What we expect from you
- Completed training as a social worker BSc/FH or a degree in a comparable field
- Enjoy working with people from different social and/or cultural backgrounds
- Advisory competence as well as expertise in social assistance law and social insurance
- Outgoing, resilient, team player, good communication, organizational, and administrative skills
- Ideally good foreign language skills
- Independent and solution-oriented working style
