The Institute for Fish and Wildlife Health at the Department of Infectious Diseases and Pathobiology is looking for an administrator immediately or by arrangement
This is a 1-year contract with annual extension possibilities.
The Institute for Fish and Wildlife Health (FIWI) conducts research, services, and teaching in the field of fish and wildlife diseases. It is a reference laboratory for notifiable diseases in fish, crustaceans, and amphibians and a national competence center for fish and wildlife health.
Tasks
- Secretarial tasks
•- Processing inquiries and providing organizational support in daily business
•- Organization and documentation of workflows
•- Co-organization of events
- Sample and material management
•- Procurement and management of consumables for diagnostics and research
•- Logistical and administrative support for sample flow and exchange
- Professional support for assistant staff and administrative support for assistants
Requirements
We are looking for a motivated, organized, and reliable personality with a commercial background and interest in the management of samples and consumables. You work independently, accurately, and flexibly, bring a willingness to learn and create, and are interested in wildlife as well as active exchange with colleagues and professionals from other institutes. Good user knowledge of the MS Office suite is required, as well as the ability to navigate confidently and efficiently in a modern, digital work environment. A confident oral and written expression in German and French is also expected, as well as ideally good knowledge of English. The willingness to occasionally handle organic examination material (e.g., blood, tissue samples, animal bodies) while adhering to relevant hygiene and safety regulations is required.
