This is what you can expect during the retraining:
- The retraining takes place full-time (39 hours/week) and consists of theoretical and practical teaching sections
- The theoretical lessons take place at the Koblenz location and your practical assignments will, if possible, be close to your place of residence
- The training classes consist of about 6 participants
- At your future place of deployment, you will gain practical experience and route knowledge
- You will receive modern training, including the use of simulators and tablets
- By successfully passing the final exams, you qualify to independently operate locomotives and rail vehicles
After your retraining, you will take on the following tasks:
- You ensure that our passengers reach their destination safely, punctually and comfortably
- The safety-relevant equipment and technical operational capability of the rail vehicles as well as cleanliness and order in the interior are your responsibility
- You are happy to make expert decisions and take responsibility for people and vehicles
- If there are deviations in train operations, you ensure passenger information and thus make a significant contribution to high service quality
- You meet even difficult customers with patience and a friendly smile
Your profile:
- You are over 20 years old and can prove a school leaving certificate and a successfully completed vocational training, preferably in the commercial-technical field
- Willingness to work in irregular shift patterns (night shifts, public holiday and weekend work, with varying daily working hours)
- Willingness to learn, reliability and commitment are a matter of course for you
- You have a good command of the German language, both spoken and written (at least excellent B2) and hold a category B driving licence
- With a current extract from the driving aptitude register, you can prove that you participate reliably in traffic (points are not a fundamental exclusion criterion)
- You are willing to prove your medical and psychological suitability (examination takes place as part of the selection process through an occupational medical examination)
