As an Embedded Firmware Engineer, you will face a versatile role at the interface between software, firmware, and hardware. The focus is on the new development and further development of modern embedded systems as well as the continuous improvement of existing solutions. Job description:
- New development and further development of firmware for embedded systems in C/C++
- Analysis and debugging of firmware including creation of unit tests
- Conducting system tests and commissioning of complete systems
- Participation in the implementation of cybersecurity requirements in embedded systems
- Involvement in the development, commissioning, and verification of electronic hardware
- Developing tools and scripts to support development and/or production
- Participation in interdisciplinary and international development projects
- Collaboration with external development partners
- Technical support for the development department and the support team
What you bring
- Technical basic training with a focus on electronics, computer science, or a comparable field
- Studies (HF/FH) in computer science, software engineering, embedded systems, electrical engineering, or a comparable field
- Knowledge of C/C++ for embedded systems
- Knowledge of microcontroller architectures and embedded systems
- Interest in hardware development and hardware-near firmware development
- Basic knowledge or interest in cybersecurity and secure software development
- Analytical thinking, structured troubleshooting, and holistic system understanding
- Quality-conscious working style with a focus on clean code, documentation, and testing
- Knowledge or interest in modern software development processes (CI/CD)
- Team-oriented personality with open communication and willingness to engage with new topics
- Very good German/English skills
