Specialist Secretary Information Center 80 - 100%The Migration Office of the Canton of Zurich operates daily in the exciting political environment of all migration issues and the resulting tasks. It is responsible for the enforcement of Swiss foreigner and asylum law, the Agreement on the Free Movement of Persons between Switzerland and the EU and EFTA states, as well as the Schengen and Dublin agreements.
For the Public Services department, we are looking for a Specialist Secretary 80 - 100% (Tuesdays or Thursdays off), limited to one year, starting June 1, 2026 or by arrangement, for our Information Center.
You provide general and specialist information by phone about the entire range of tasks of the Migration Office. Furthermore, you coordinate with the specialist departments and other authorities and respond to email inquiries from partner authorities of the Migration Office.
You have a two-year basic education with a Federal Vocational Certificate (EBA) and professional experience as a telephone operator or in direct customer contact. With your very good spoken German and proven foreign language skills (English and other language(s)) and your proficient IT user skills, you bring the professional qualifications for this demanding part-time job. In addition, you convince with flexibility, high resilience, and pleasant manners and are willing to acquire comprehensive knowledge in the field of migration law during a three-month training period. Your pronounced communication skills and your enjoyment of a customer-oriented, very lively activity in a motivated team complete your profile. You have Swiss citizenship or a settlement permit. Ideal age from 25 years.
