The Zug Canton Hospital is dedicated to the health of the population of the Canton of Zug and the surrounding regions. Around 1200 employees, including 180 in training and further education, work in various areas. Every year, we treat and care for over 11,500 inpatient and over 70,000 outpatient patients. More than 27,500 people are treated annually in the interdisciplinary emergency center.For our patient counseling, we are looking for a Social Counseling Employee for Patients starting August 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your Tasks
- Advising patients and their relatives during the hospital stay and regarding hospital discharge
- Organizing follow-up solutions after the hospital stay (rehabilitation stays, transfers to rehabilitation clinics or nursing institutions)
- Interdisciplinary collaboration with doctors and nursing staff, as well as close cooperation with external institutions and specialist offices
Your Profile
- Basic medical-nursing training and professional experience in an acute hospital
- Training as a social worker FH or further education and/or professional experience in the social insurance sector
- Empathetic personality with a high service orientation and social competence
- You value constructive interdisciplinary collaboration with all hospital departments and with our external partners
