About the job

The TANDEM day special school offers 24 normally gifted primary school students with behavioral difficulties, who need individually tailored support and care, a space for learning, development, and experience. The school is jointly managed by an interdisciplinary team. Acquiring social skills and building self-esteem are just as important to us as working on school material. The students stay in Tandem as briefly as possible but as long as necessary – in the "normal case" this means 2-3 years.
 

We offer internship or civil service positions 80 - 100% starting August 2026.

No training positions.

Duration of assignment: at least six months.
 

Your profile:

• Preferably experience in child and youth care (e.g., scout leader, camp leader, sports club, etc.)
• Enjoy working with primary school children with behavioral difficulties
• Motivated to engage even in challenging situations
• Interest in a social professional field (studies / training)
• You have the willingness to assert yourself, patience, flexibility, adaptability, and resilience

Possible tasks:

• Collaboration in various learning, training, and social modules, as well as in school lessons.
• Participation in projects, excursions, and camp weeks.
• Participation in the support planning process and team meetings.
• Work in housekeeping.
• Supervision of children during leisure time and in managing everyday tasks.
• Accompanying children in difficult everyday situations.
• Taking on individual tasks and daily errands.
