In our Anaesthesia Department (Category B), 7000 anaesthesias are performed annually; divided between paediatric and adult anaesthesia in the fields of general surgery, traumatology, gynaecology/obstetrics, orthopaedics, urology, hand surgery, and ENT. Our regional anaesthesia share is 25%. Our department runs the postoperative pain service together with the Pain Nurse, is involved in patient care in the interdisciplinary intensive care unit, provides medical leadership for the emergency service, and participates in the regional emergency doctor service.

For the Anaesthesia Department, we are looking for a

Junior Assistant 100% - Anaesthesia

Exciting challenges await you

• Work primarily in the operating theatre as part of the anaesthesia team
• Participation in daily briefings and training events
• Learning various anaesthesia techniques and monitoring methods under supervision by an anaesthesia nurse and/or an anaesthesia consultant
• Gaining practical experience in the field of anaesthesiology (extent depends on duration of employment)
• Insertion of peripheral venous cannulas
• Dosing of common anaesthetics
• Handling sedated and anaesthetised patients
• Ensuring and maintaining vital functions
• Learning and performing simple anaesthesia techniques under supervision, including mask ventilation and airway management

What distinguishes you for the job

• Interest in the field of anaesthesiology
• Motivated and team-oriented personality
• Advanced medical studies, at least in the 5th year / 9th semester
• Good German language skills, spoken and written
