gaw – Society for Work and Living – is a non-profit organisation with heart and conviction. Since 1987, we have been supporting people with disabilities on their path to a self-determined life - with around 230 work and training places and 35 residential places in the Basel region.

Operational management: You take responsibility for the assembly and workshop areas – from planning through production to shipping.
Process reliability: You ensure that production targets, quality standards, and deadlines are consistently met.
Coordination and organisation: You manage material flows, purchasing, logistics, and production processes efficiently and purposefully.
Efficient workplace design: You organise workplaces, machines, and storage optimally to ensure smooth operations.
Leadership skills: You lead your team with clarity, fairness, and on equal footing, motivating and promoting collaboration.
Process optimisation: You further develop existing processes, keep budgets in view, and ensure compliance with the quality management system (QMS).
Pragmatic support: You pitch in with more complex tasks and make quick, solution-oriented decisions.
Social responsibility: You have a sense for the social mission of the Society for Work and Living and treat people from different backgrounds safely and respectfully.

What you bring with you

You have completed training in a craft, technical, or logistical field and ideally bring experience in assembly, production, or workshop operations. Leadership experience as well as the ability to motivate and steer people purposefully distinguish you. Your organisational talent and your strong overview help you maintain focus even in dynamic situations.

Experience in production planning, logistics, and quality assurance also belong to your profile, as does a structured, solution-oriented, and responsible way of working. Your communication skills and assertiveness make you a reliable leader.

If you also bring experience in the social environment or in dealing with clients, you are exactly the doer we are looking for. With your commitment, you ensure that careful planning results in smooth and clean production.
