We introduce ourselves
Operational Planning is responsible for coordinating the outages of network elements in the Swiss transmission network. The outages are coordinated with the distribution network operators, power plant operators, and transmission system operators (TSO) connected to the transmission network in neighboring countries. In addition, Operational Planning conducts network state forecasts and defines measures to ensure a secure network for real-time operation. The team is also responsible for determining the transmission network capacities (NTC) at all Swiss borders. Operational Planning is significantly involved in the further development of processes and IT systems and represents Swissgrid in selected national and international committees.
