Caretaker for School Properties (100%)

In the attractive and beautiful Zumikon with around 5,800 inhabitants, our school properties provide life and encounters every day. To ensure that pupils, teachers, and staff feel completely comfortable and that the school day runs smoothly, we need people who like to get stuck in, take responsibility, and keep an overview. To complement our caretaker team, we are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual as a Caretaker for School Properties (100%) starting 1 November 2026 or by arrangement.

Your tasks:

• Cleaning of rooms assigned by the team leader
• Area and green space maintenance (mowing lawns, trimming hedges and shrubs)
• Carrying out minor repairs and maintenance work
• Coordinating craftsmen for minor repairs
• Handling administrative tasks
• Planning and assisting with deep cleaning
• Helping with winter services (including weekends)
• Close collaboration with other caretakers in the caretaker team

Your profile:

• Completed training as a specialist in operational maintenance is an advantage
• Several years of professional experience in a comparable role; craftsmen are also welcome
• Enjoy working with pupils, school management, and teachers
• Willingness to work flexible hours (evenings, weekends, and school holidays)
• Customer- and service-oriented, flexible, and resilient
• Independent, structured, and efficient working style
• Holder of a category B driving licence
• Good MS Office user skills
