Test Engineer Special Fire Systems 80 - 100 % (m/f/d)

What you achieve

  • Ensuring the quality of our product portfolio in the field of special fire systems - which includes hardware devices, mobile and Windows applications up to cloud services
  • Analysis and design of product requirements to shape the test software architecture as well as the test infrastructure
  • Design and development of test automation frameworks for our systems
  • Developing and executing test cases (manually or automated) with a risk-based approach and supporting shift-left testing.
  • Maintenance, evaluation and expansion of our various hardware test systems and long-term tests
  • Close collaboration with internal and external specialists in cross-functional teams with international composition
  • You ensure high customer satisfaction thanks to your broad product knowledge and transparent communication
  • You contribute to our Testing Community of Practice, share your knowledge and learn from other test colleagues

What you bring

  • Technical basic education with a degree of BSc, MSc or Engineer FH/ETH in software, computer science or electrical engineering
  • Several years of experience in creating and implementing test frameworks, test cases and test sets
  • Broad hands-on experience in test automation (preferably in C#)
  • Basic knowledge in handling hardware boards (e.g. serial interfaces, communication protocols, etc.)
  • Certification as ISTQB Certified Tester
  • Experience in applying agile methods (SCRUM, SAFe)
  • Willingness for occasional foreign assignments in cooperation with external service providers
  • Flexibility, sense of quality and pronounced team spirit and willingness to share own knowledge
  • Structured, proactive and reliable working style
  • Flawless written and spoken knowledge of German and English is mandatory
