The Office for Youth and Career Counselling (AJB) is responsible for child and youth welfare as well as career counselling. Children, young people and families are at the heart of our work. We dedicate ourselves to them daily with great passion and commitment.
The kjz (Child and Youth Welfare Centre) is a polyvalent counselling centre for families, parents, young people, children and toddlers and operates on the basis of the Child and Youth Welfare Act of the Canton of Zurich. Are you keen to commit yourself to the welfare of children and young people? Then become part of our team as a social worker (80%) from 1 July 2026 or by arrangement.
You will advise and support children, young people and guardians within the framework of child protection measures and on a voluntary basis. In addition, you will conduct assessments in cases of child welfare endangerment on behalf of the KESB. In fulfilling your duties, you will work closely with authorities, schools, other institutions and specialist agencies.
You bring:
- a completed degree in social work from a university of applied sciences or an equivalent qualification
- experience in youth and family welfare as well as in case management
- a persuasive, goal-oriented and assertive personality
- high social competence as well as excellent written and oral communication skills
- systemic thinking ability and enjoyment of administrative tasks
