Service Technician Western Switzerland

As a service technician, you are the face of BÜCHI to our customers. With your technical know-how, you ensure that our laboratory instruments function reliably and that our customers can always count on professional service. You work independently, travel frequently, and contribute significantly to customer satisfaction with your solution-oriented approach. Travel within Western Switzerland accounts for around 80% of your activity.

• You install, commission our laboratory instruments, and train our customers in their use.
• You perform maintenance, calibrations, and repairs on our entire product portfolio.
• You analyse technical faults and independently find suitable solutions – on-site or via remote support.
• You respond to technical customer enquiries and competently advise our customers on our products and services.
• You support our sales colleagues with product demonstrations and customer projects.
• You identify potential for service offerings, spare parts, or upgrades and communicate these to sales.
• You carefully document your service calls and work closely with our teams from Sales, Technical Support, and Product Management.
• You support your colleagues within the Swiss service team.
• Completed training as a laboratory technician EFZ, lab technician, or a technical qualification in mechatronics, electronics, automation, or a comparable field.
• At least 2–3 years of professional experience in technical customer service, service, or maintenance of laboratory, analytical, or comparable technical equipment.
• Enjoyment of direct customer contact and a strong service orientation.
• Independent, structured, and reliable working style.
• Analytical thinking and enthusiasm for solving technical challenges.
• Very good French and good German skills; English skills are an advantage.
• Category B driving licence and willingness to travel around 80% of the time.
