Role:
On behalf of the client, we are looking for an experienced professional as a Construction Manager:in for Building Construction to realise demanding new build and refurbishment projects. You will take operational responsibility from tendering and awarding through execution to acceptance and warranty phase. As the central interface, you coordinate clients, planners, and contractors and ensure professional management of deadlines, costs, and quality. The position combines solid technical construction know-how with comprehensive responsibility directly in construction execution.
Responsibilities:
Independent realisation and construction management of building projects in new build and refurbishment
Responsibility for the local construction management from start of construction to acceptance and completion of warranty work
Preparation and processing of tenders, specifications, and awarding documents
Conducting submissions, bid comparisons, and awards as well as support in contract negotiations
Leadership and coordination of all contractors, specialist planners, and project participants on site
Creation and ongoing monitoring of construction programmes, schedules, and milestones
Continuous cost control including invoice verification, change management, and control of direct labour
Ensuring the required execution quality and checking work against plans, contracts, and relevant SIA standards
Organisation and leadership of construction meetings including minute-taking and consistent follow-up on action points
Coordination of interfaces between building construction, building services, and finishing trades
Organisation of acceptances, commissioning, and defect rectifications as well as support of handover to the client
Processing of construction documentation and warranty acceptances until full project completion
Qualifications:
Completed training as certified construction manager for building construction, HF technician in construction planning, FH architect or comparable qualification
Several years of professional experience in construction management of building projects in Switzerland
Solid expertise in building construction, tendering, awarding, and construction execution
Good knowledge of cost, schedule, and quality management as well as relevant SIA standards
Confident use of Microsoft 365 / MS Office; knowledge of Messerli construction administration is an advantage
Good German and Italian language skills, spoken and written
