About the job
The SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS are an independent public-law institution of the canton of Schaffhausen. More than 480 children and young people with physical and/or cognitive impairments, with speech, hearing or other profound developmental disabilities are currently taught and supported integratively in the regular schools of the canton or separately at four locations in the city of Schaffhausen. In addition to various therapy offers, we run a school-complementary area with lunch, day structure and boarding school. Over 570 employees are committed in various functions at the SCHAFFHAUSER SPECIAL SCHOOLS. We are looking for interns for the Sandacker school building starting February 1, 2026. Area of responsibility:- Assistance in the promotion, support and care of children and young people in lessons and in the context of school-complementary care
- perceive and strengthen the personal resources (interests, skills, etc.) of the students in relationship work
- accompany students in training and learning connected skills and behavioral patterns, promote independence, self-efficacy,
- organizational and administrative tasks
- cross-departmental collaboration
- enjoyment in contact with children/young people with individual possibilities and needs
- personal maturity, physical and mental stability
- sense of responsibility, resilience, reliability and ability to work in a team
- completed school education
- versatile, interesting activity in an interdisciplinary environment
