Would you like to actively help shape the introduction of the Building Information Modelling (BIM) method in the Building Department Zurich? As part of the BIM@BD programme, you support the definition of processes, roles and standards in several offices with the aim of making planning, construction and operational processes more efficient and transparent.
In your role as BIM specialist at the Civil Engineering Office, you use your knowledge in construction to analyse existing workflows and design concrete use cases.

Your tasks
- Analyse existing planning, construction and operational processes and develop future digital processes (e.g. using BPMN).
- Develop and describe BIM use cases and processes, as well as specific information and data requirements for buildings and infrastructures.
- Contribute to the development and further development of BIM standards, guidelines and information requirements of the Building Department.
- Document and further develop roles and organisational foundations for the application of the BIM method.
- Support projects in the introduction and application of the defined BIM working methods.
Your profile
- Several years of professional experience in digital planning and construction as well as sound knowledge of the BIM method and open BIM standards.
- Very good understanding of planning, construction and project processes in Swiss construction.
- University degree in civil engineering, architecture, construction informatics or a comparable field.
- Experience in developing BIM use cases, information requirements or data structures as well as in analysing and modelling processes (e.g. BPMN).
- Team-oriented personality with enthusiasm for interdisciplinary collaboration and cross-organisational coordination.
