Employee «Shelter» (30%)
The church district four five belongs to the Zurich church community. We are part of the vibrant neighborhood life in city districts 4 and 5. At our locations, we work on key social issues. The shared apartment «Shelter for refugee women with and without children» offers nine affected persons a supportive structure during a stay of max. six months within the framework of a shared apartment with psychosocial support by two professionals. The «Shelter» provides support where state agencies reach their limits or only provide limited services. For this accompanied housing offer, we are looking for you as of July 1, 2026, or by arrangement
Your tasks
- Support the manager in ensuring the orderly operation of the shelter, including support in conflicts of coexistence and emergencies
- Processing stay requests and clarifying suitability through introductory interviews
- Individual psychosocial support of two to three residents during their stay (reference person system)
- Organization and execution of minor and major repair work in the shelter
- Shaping communal living together
Your profile
- Completed training in social work (HF or FH) or in a related field
- Experience in long-term support or counseling of people with psychosocial issues in the area of flight and migration
- Organizational talent with a structured, reliable, and independent working style
- High social competence and ability to think and act in a networked way
- Good Microsoft Office user skills
- Confident German in spoken and written form with good English skills as well as very good communication skills
