Assistant Head of Operations Department

The operations department of the Thurgau Cantonal Police is responsible for security police training, special support, as well as the control and coordination of the operational resources of basic services and also ensures the operation of the cantonal emergency call center.
To complete our team, we are looking for an immediate or by arrangement

• Support of the Head of Operations Department in leadership activities as well as in leadership and personnel administration
• Ensuring appointment and report management
• Responsibility for administrative planning and coordination activities in concordat and IKAPOL operations (including the creation of leadership products and processing of reports)
• Preparation, leadership, and follow-up of specialist reports
• Handling projects and dossiers on behalf of the Head of Operations Department
• Maintaining leadership-supporting interaction with the commander, management, and service heads
• Participation in operational planning groups as well as central contact person for external authorities
• Performing central administrative tasks within the operations department according to the area of responsibility

• Completed commercial or comparable training
• Several years of professional experience in an assistant or leadership support function, preferably in a security-relevant environment
• Confident German language skills in spoken and written form
• Foreign language skills are an advantage
• Proficient IT user skills (MS Office, planning tools, databases)
• Strong organizational talent, resilience, and independent working style
• High reliability, discretion, and ability to work in a team
