Spaghettata Dinner and Lotto Evening in St. Verena

On Saturday, 7 February 2026, the parish council of the Catholic parish St. Verena Stäfa invited to a cosy Spaghettata dinner following the service.

About 100 people accepted the invitation and created a cheerful and lively atmosphere in the parish hall.

Choices included Spaghetti Napoli, Bolognese and Arrabiata – truly Italian, cooked with much love, perseverance and commitment by the parish council. The enjoyable evening began with a special surprise: all those present warmly congratulated our parish representative Bruno Gut-Fuchs on his milestone birthday.

After the delicious meal, the evening continued comfortably with coffee and carnival biscuits before the traditional lotto game provided excitement and entertainment. There were numerous lovely prizes to be won, lovingly wrapped.

The proceeds from this sociable and successful event benefit Fazenda da Esperança – a Christian community in Wattwil that aims to offer young people addicted to drugs and alcohol new perspectives and a path to a fulfilling life.

A heartfelt thank you goes to the parish council as well as all helpers and, of course, all visitors who made this evening a beautiful sign of lived community.
