A Fribourg SME established for over 80 years and based in Granges-Paccot, Frewitt develops and produces machines and installations for the pharmaceutical, chemical and food industries worldwide.

To meet the company’s growth and the technological evolution of our customers’ expectations, we are looking for a Technical Buyer at 80–100%.

In this varied and strategic role, you will participate in the development and evolution of Purchasing policies and strategies and ensure their implementation. You will also contribute to the continuous improvement of our processes and products and manage strategically and operationally the product families assigned to you.

A good negotiator with a solid understanding of the technical field (mechanics, automation), you are an autonomous person eager to take on new challenges. Your creative, innovative and solution-oriented mindset will bring improvement ideas to optimise our expertise.

Some travel abroad is required for this role.

Your main responsibilities:

Strategic Purchasing: Analysis and optimisation of the supplier portfolio for the assigned product families

• Definition of specifications with internal departments as well as with suppliers
• Market analysis, search for new regional and international supply sources
• Analysis and negotiation of total cost of ownership (TCO)

Operational Purchasing: Qualitative improvements of our purchases, management of non-conformities and follow-up of improvement plans with our suppliers

• Requests for quotations, analyses (including documentation and certifications) and volume allocations
• Order validation, negotiation of deadlines, management of the order portfolio according to established priorities

Support for managing supply parameters and purchase prices

Your profile:

• Technical training background, with at least 3 years’ experience as a buyer in industrial purchasing
• Knowledge/interest in regional and international supply markets
• Very good knowledge of French and German (minimum B2), knowledge of English is an asset
• Good understanding of ERP operation and proficiency with MS Office (especially Excel)
• Holding a federal certificate or diploma in purchasing would be an asset
