We are a modern large-scale nursery supplying our ornamental plants to major retailers and flower markets. Due to the retirement of the current post holder, we are looking for an immediate or agreed appointment of a

Head of Infrastructure / Operations Mechanic 80-100% (m/f)

Your main tasks:

• Organisation and execution of repair and maintenance work in our two production sites Horben and Nürensdorf
• Responsibility for the workshop area including machinery and equipment park
• Planning / organisation of construction projects
• Engaging and coordinating external craftsmen

Your profile:

• Craftsman training (mechanical engineer, locksmith, agricultural machinery mechanic, plumber with all-rounder skills, etc.)
• Manual dexterity and broad experience in the technical field
• IT user skills (Word, Excel, Outlook)
• Good organisational skills
• Precise, efficient and independent working
• Good physical condition
• Flexibility for emergency deployments
• Good negotiation skills with external companies, fitters and craftsmen
• Preferably aged 40 years or older
