AI/ML Solution Engineer

Job Description

Our Data & Analytics Team is growing, and we are looking for an AI/ML Solution Engineer to support and take responsibility for the following tasks:

• Deliver AI/ML solutions across LGT CP;

• Develop and test AI/ML solutions according to business needs;

• Further develop our proprietary, cloud-based (Gen)AI infrastructure as the backbone of technical capabilities and deliveries;

• Re-design business processes and simplify using data & technologies;

• Extract business requirements and create technical specifications required to deliver AI/ML solutions as a bridge between business and technology teams;

• Design scalable and enterprise-grade data and AI products, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards;

• Being a technological leader and go-to person for the AI solution engineering team;

• Manage business stakeholders' expectations, ensure delivery and business adoption;

• Understand, explain, and interact on complex topics with both business and technical teams;

• Actively support and share knowledge across the extended Data & Analytics team;

• Stay aligned with and be the spokesperson of the AI solution engineering team for the broader IT department, such as solution architecture, software engineering or cloud infrastructure teams.

Requirements

Must-haves:

• University degree in computer science, data science, information technology, artificial intelligence, engineering, mathematics, statistics or any other STEM degree;

• At least 2 years of professional experiences in a related field, such as data science, software engineer, solution/AI engineer or similar;

• Strong knowledge and experience with Python, SQL and React (Typescript); additional knowledge in infrastructure-as-code (Terraform) as well as Microsoft Azure is strongly preferred;

• In-depth knowledge of generative AI technologies (LLMs) as well as traditional ML methods;

• Proven experience in implementing enterprise-grade (Gen)AI/ML solutions

• Interest in and strong affinity with technology and a particular focus on AI/ML;

• Knowledge and understanding of software design and development principles in an enterprise-context;

• Proven experience in working in large-scale or complex technology landscapes is a plus;

• Excellent analytical and technical skills and attention to detail;

• Motivation to work at the intersection of technology, research and business;

• Great team player and ability to work collaboratively at various levels of the organization;

• Proactive personality who takes ownership and uses initiative;

• Fluency in English.

Nice-to-haves:

• Experience in leading technical deliveries and delivery teams in the AI/ML space;

• Experience with modern cloud data toolsets, preferably Microsoft Azure;

• General knowledge about financial markets, preferably private markets;

• German skills.
