About the job
We are the Kita of the Erlenhof | Foundation – a small, family-run nature daycare centre nestled in the greenery. We care for up to 12 children from the age of 3 months until they start kindergarten, creating a varied daily routine between cosy daycare rooms, forest, meadows, stream and farm.
As part of the Erlenhof | Foundation, our daycare centre is also a training and workplace for young people and young adults in the sheltered labour market. Together, we support children in their development and assist aspiring childcare specialists on their path into professional life.
We are looking for a
Childcare Specialist EFZ 40–60 % (m/f/d)
For this versatile role, we seek a committed individual who accompanies children with heart, takes responsibility and enjoys supporting young people in learning and growing.
Your area of responsibility:With us, you will create a varied daycare routine – indoors and outdoors. You lovingly, professionally and attentively accompany children, recognising their needs. You play, comfort, observe, explain, set boundaries and create experiences that empower children.
At the same time, you support our clients in the sheltered labour market. You guide them in their daily work, explain work steps, provide feedback and assist them on their way to becoming childcare specialists.

Your tasks include, among others:
- Professional support and promotion of children in daily life
- Creating a varied daycare routine in our indoor spaces and in nature
- Planning and implementing creative, nature-based and everyday-relevant activities
- Work-agogic support of clients in the sheltered labour market
- Guidance and support of trainees on their training path
- Conveying work steps as well as promoting independence and personal responsibility
- Observation and documentation of the development of children and trainees
- Appreciative collaboration with parents, the team and the specialist departments of the Erlenhof | Foundation
- Qualification as a Childcare Specialist EFZ or an equivalent qualification
- Joy in working with children and interest in their individual development
- Interest in training, work-agogy or willingness to familiarise yourself with this area
- An appreciative, patient and clear attitude
- Sense of responsibility and an independent working style
- Enjoyment in discovering and experiencing nature with children in all weather
- A weatherproof personality who delights equally in sunshine, muddy wellies and cold noses
- Creativity, humour and composure – even when things do not go according to plan
- Team spirit and willingness to contribute your personality and ideas
