School Social Worker Primary School Horgen 60%Good for life – that is our motto. The office of the districts Affoltern, Dietikon, Horgen of the Office for Youth and Career Counselling operates a regional school social work centre, which is responsible on behalf of schools for the personnel, professional and administrative management of school social workers. To ensure a low-threshold school social work service, the workplaces are located in the individual school communities.
For the Primary School Horgen, we are looking for a school social worker from 1 January 2027.
You will advise and support young people, parents and teachers in educational and social matters. In crises and conflicts, you will carry out interventions in classes and groups. Wherever possible, you will also provide prevention and project work. You will work with the school team and other specialist agencies.
For this role, we require a completed degree in Social Work at university of applied sciences level and several years of professional experience in school social work or in the socio-educational field with children. You have skills in counselling, prevention, crisis intervention and project work as well as an independent and interdisciplinary way of working.
