We are looking for a dynamic and passionate digital communications expert to join our international team as Science Communications Associate at our office located in Zurich.

Who are we?

We are accelopment Schweiz AG in Zurich. Our multidisciplinary team supports scientists, universities and technology-oriented companies regarding their participation in EU funding programmes for research and innovation. Our focus is on the EU research and innovation (R&I) framework programme “Horizon Europe” and our services range from funding advice and project application to project implementation. As a team, accelopment participates in EU-funded projects as a partner for project administration and communication, as well as for the exploitation of project results.

What are your tasks?

Communication of EU-funded R&I projects is at the heart of your work and involves the conception, planning and implementation of communication, dissemination and exploitation measures, especially for projects in the Horizon Europe programme. The creation of print and digital materials belongs to your tasks just as writing articles and setting up websites. Additionally, you support our grant writers in preparing communication, dissemination and exploitation sections of EU grant applications. You work and communicate with project partners across Europe, mainly in English.

What are our requirements?

In addition to developing communication strategies as well as creating and implementing online and print communication material, we expect the following from you:

• Experience with communications in scientific or technological areas (e.g. press releases, websites, video creation).
• University degree in Communications or other relevant areas with 2-5 years of work experience.
• Familiarity with graphic design software and video editing tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
• Excellent IT and multimedia content creation skills (MS Office, website CMS such as WordPress and other digital communication tools).
• Prior involvement in Horizon Europe projects is an asset.
• Strong communication skills, high level of initiative and commitment, detail orientation and flexibility.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English, German language skills are added value.
