Animal Care Technician
Job Description
- Observation, feeding and daily care of laboratory animals.
- Participation in daily washing duties to clean the various cages and rooms. This involves operating the autoclave, using professional dishwashers, handling loads and handling bleach.
- Implementation of good laboratory practices within the animal facility. Implementation of strict prophylaxis and adherence to so-called forward flow processes.
- Participation in on-call duties during weekends, public holidays and holidays.
- Assistance to experimenters
Required Title and Skills
Federal Certificate of Capacity (CFC) as animal keeper or equivalent qualification.
