Employee Secretariat Legal Advice Office 40-60% (m/f/d)
Refugees, persecuted and/or threatened people should receive adequate protection in Switzerland. Caritas Switzerland gives these people a voice and advocates for fair procedures. For this purpose, Caritas Switzerland offers legal advice and representation in asylum and immigration law to those affected in the central Swiss cantons of Lucerne, Nidwalden, Obwalden, Schwyz, Uri, and Zug.
Your tasks
- General administrative support for the lawyers
- Answering and triaging inquiries (email, mail, and telephone)
- First contact person for spontaneous visitors
- Organization and administrative support for the open legal advice
- Recording and archiving of files
- Ordering office supplies and maintaining office infrastructure
- Supporting the team in operating work tools (software, printers, etc.) and triage with ICT
- Taking minutes at team meetings
- Managing, updating, and creating workflows
- Review of quarterly and annual financial statements
- Processing and checking invoices
- Support in fundraising
Our requirements
- Proven IT user skills (Office suite, database, invoicing program)
- At least 2 years of professional experience
- Fluent German in spoken and written form
- English/French and any other language an advantage
- Good knowledge of accounting
- Business administration knowledge/experience / paralegal an advantage
- Experience in migration and/or social sector an advantage
- Ability to conduct correspondence independently
- Interest in legal as well as migration and social policy issues
- Organizational skills
- Advisory competence and patience in dealing with people in difficult life phases
Workplace is Lucerne.
Start of work: April 1, 2026 or by arrangement.
