You are responsible for and advise on all IT matters of the UNITY Innovation Alliance companies, with overall responsibility for strategy, operations, support, projects and budget. 

The UNITY Innovation Alliance is the corporate network around UNITY consulting. It bundles interdisciplinary end-to-end know-how so that companies can digitalise their business models, products and services – from idea to implementation. For over 15 years, it has invested in companies around UNITY’s range of services, in further business models and in start-ups, which it supports financially and organisationally in their development. These include, among others, AIRIS, HYPERTEGRITY, nextOR, someventure and Factory33.

What to expect

• Overall IT responsibility: You take over the IT of the UIA group of companies and shape the development of an independent IT organisation.
• Separation: You are responsible for separating the existing IT services from UNITY AG and lay the foundation for a long-term independent ICT operation.
• Projects: You plan and manage IT projects with internal and external partners and also get involved operationally yourself.
• Operations & Support: You ensure a stable, secure and economical IT operation for the companies and assist with day-to-day business and support if needed.
• Service providers & Budget: You manage external service providers, are responsible for the IT budget and advise the management of the UIA companies on all IT matters.
• Further development: You continuously develop structures, processes and services and decide where modern technologies are sensibly applied.
• Team: Prospectively, you will expand the UIA IT team.

What you bring

Must-haves

• Several years of experience as a Senior IT Professional, Senior or Lead System Engineer, IT Infrastructure Architect, IT Manager or in a comparable role.
• Very good understanding of modern Microsoft infrastructures: Microsoft 365, Azure, Entra ID, Intune and Security
• Experience in leading IT projects
• Willingness to take responsibility and work operationally yourself
• Structured, pragmatic working style with a good sense of priorities and economic decisions
• Very good German and good English skills
• Effective and safe application of AI.

Ideally

• Experience in building, restructuring or transforming IT landscapes
• Residence in the Büren/OWL region (for approx. 2 on-site days per week)

Honestly

This role is not for you if you want to work exclusively conceptually and generally delegate operations and support. It is also not suitable if you expect a finished IT team and established processes: here you build both from scratch. If, on the other hand, you want to shape strategically and roll up your sleeves at the same time, we should talk.
