Position: Electronics Pre-Development Engineer Intern (Motor Control)
Entity: Automotive Electronics Laboratory (LEA)
Location: Boncourt, Switzerland
You will contribute to the development of a Rapid Control Prototyping (RCP) platform based on dSPACE solutions, aimed at optimising the control of BLDC and stepper motors.
This platform aims to accelerate the development, validation and optimisation of motor control algorithms. It will notably allow the rapid evaluation of new control strategies for motors intended for low-cost automotive applications, while integrating advanced control functions usually reserved for high-end systems.
· Take charge of and operate the dSPACE Rapid Control Prototyping platform provided.
· Develop and evaluate new motor control strategies
· Implement the developed control algorithms.
· Conduct the necessary tests for their validation.
· Analyse the results obtained and identify areas for improvement.
· Optimise control strategies to enhance motor performance.
These activities will directly contribute to pre-development work and the exploration of new high-value technical solutions for future products and applications of the Automotive Division.
· Good knowledge of electric motor control and regulation.
· Knowledge of BLDC and/or stepper motors.
· Knowledge of dSPACE solutions and Rapid Control Prototyping is an advantage.
· Analytical mindset, rigour and autonomy.
· Curiosity and a taste for innovation.
· Engineering student in the final year of study (Master’s level or equivalent), specialising in electronics, embedded systems or control engineering.
