As a Senior IT System Architect, you are responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous development of critical IT and OT infrastructures. The focus is on optimal performance, security, and scalability. This role requires a holistic understanding of applications, systems, networks, and cloud technologies and their interaction. By taking on this leading technical role, you become a key part of the development of a powerful, knowledge-driven team.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• System Architecture: Development and further development of sustainable architecture strategies considering future-proof technologies, as well as active participation in the Architecture Board of Axpo Systems AG
• Architecture Design & System Integration: Designing complex system landscapes and their integration into existing operational processes
• Technical Leadership: Developing solution designs and technical leadership in their implementation within cross-functional project teams (e.g., network, security, infrastructure)
• Standardization & Optimization: Application and further development of architecture standards as well as continuous optimization of infrastructure and system architecture
• Technology Consulting & Mentoring: Advising and providing technical support to engineering and operations teams in implementing solution concepts and supporting the professional and technical development of the team
• Operational Support: Support during critical incidents through technical expertise and promotion of sustainable, long-term solutions

Profile and Skills

• Several years of experience in designing and implementing business-critical IT infrastructures
• Holistic understanding of IT and OT architectures as well as their functional separation
• Proven leadership experience in technical projects
• Ability to clearly communicate complex technical issues to specialists and management
• Experience working with agile methods (e.g., Scrum, SAFe)
• Strong communication, team, and mentoring skills
• Completed studies (Bachelor or Master or higher) at a university of applied sciences or university in computer science, systems engineering, or a comparable field
• Very good German skills (at least level C1) in spoken and written form
