Tasks
- Evaluate building and environmental legal appeals as part of the court.

- Attend meetings, site visits, and case discussions for about two half days weekly.

starting July 1, 2026, for the remainder of the 2023-2029 term
The Building Appeals Court is a first-instance specialized court for assessing appeals related to construction, planning, and environmental law. Its special feature is that the necessary expertise is provided by the part-time presidents and members. Time-consuming expert reports are generally unnecessary as a result.

Requirements:
- In-depth knowledge in the fields of architecture, planning, engineering, environmental sciences
- Familiarity with legal issues and problem-solving
- Negotiation skills and confident demeanor
- Willingness to participate in meetings (deliberations), site inspections, case discussions, etc., and to study files, totaling about two half-days per week
- Temporal and local flexibility
- Voting rights in the canton of Zurich
- Impeccable reputation
The members of the Building Appeals Court are elected by the Cantonal Council. The seat is claimed by the SVP.
The amount of compensation for participation in site inspections, work as a rapporteur, and preparation of expert reports is based on the cantonal personnel regulations and the administrative court regulations.
