The Vocational School for Retail and Pharmacy Zurich (BSDPZ) is a cantonal vocational school where around 1900 learners are trained by 100 teachers in the professions of retail and pharmacy.
To support our school administration, we are looking for an
Administrative Assistant (60%), fixed-term until 31.03.2027, starting immediately or by arrangement
Working days: Thursday and Friday, third working day selectable
Your tasks
- Responsibility in the school office for information and advice by phone, counter, and answering emails
- Independent administration and organization of further training in retail and pharmacy
- Organization of various internal events as well as administrative assistance at the professional championships
- General school administrative tasks (e.g., admissions and departures of learners, confirmations, correspondence, data maintenance, issuing diplomas/certificates)
- Assistance in preparing semester reports and checking grade entries
- Procurement of office supplies; ordering teaching materials for teachers and lecturers
- Administrative tasks such as parking management, cash handling, ordering birthday and school year start gifts, recording teacher absences, coordinating schedules
- First aid in medical emergencies
- Assistance during the start of the school year and the qualification process
- Completion of special tasks assigned by the school management
Your profile
- Completed training as a commercial clerk EFZ or comparable qualification plus additional diploma as marketing assistant
- Work experience in the education sector is an advantage
- Organizational talent and enjoyment of independent and structured work
- Digital affinity and skill in handling IT applications (Ecoweb, MS Office 365)
- Confident, target-group appropriate German in writing and speaking
- Service-oriented attitude and initiative
- Forward-looking, resilient, and efficient working style
- Willingness and flexibility to adapt working hours to the school year rhythm
