The UniBE Foundation is a non-profit foundation of the University of Bern. Since 2021, it has been supporting the University of Bern in raising funds to finance excellent research and teaching, in order to strengthen Bern as a location for education and research.
We are looking for an executive assistant on a part-time basis of 50-60% starting April 15, 2026, or by arrangement, for a fixed-term maternity cover (expected duration 4 months).
Tasks
You will support the managing director in administrative and organizational matters, especially in the foundation secretariat, as well as in finance and appointment management. In addition, you will work independently and as part of a team on the creation and design of communication materials for projects from various areas of the university. Maintaining the UniBE Foundation database is also part of your responsibilities.
Your profile
• Native German speaker, good knowledge of English
• Completed education (e.g., commercial apprenticeship EFZ or bachelor's degree)
• Organizational talent
• Good communication skills and verbal expression
• Initiative, motivation, and enthusiasm for university support
• Enjoy working in a small team
• Basic knowledge of InDesign and LinkedIn desired
