Your Tasks
At the Competence Center for Criminal Law and Criminology of the University of St. Gallen (SK-HSG), a scientific assistant position (30 to 50%) is to be filled in the team of Prof. Dr. Monika Simmler and Prof. Dr. Nora Markwalder from June 1, 2026, or by agreement, with the following tasks:
- Support in scientific research projects
- Collaboration in the supervision of courses and the organization of seminars and conferences
- Supervision of students
- Assistance in exam preparation and correction of exam performances
- Participation in the Competence Center
There is the possibility, if interested, to develop the position into a doctoral position after completing the master's degree.
Your Profile
- University degree in law at the bachelor level or bachelor studies close to completion (at least in the 4th semester)
- Special interest and knowledge in criminal law, criminal procedure law, and criminology
- Enjoyment and interest in research work
- Good English skills required, good French skills are an advantage
- Willingness and enthusiasm to perform, flexibility, and independent working style
- Ability to work in a team
