About the job
In this position, you will work in various demanding areas of financial market law with a high degree of novelty and close to the pulse of regulatory and economic developments
Main tasks
- Coordination and management of business in the area of fintech and digitalisation
- Professional responsibility in various matters, such as drafting opinions on regulatory and policy projects or during external appearances
- Assessing requests for supervision from fintech and other companies (especially in the areas of distributed ledger technology, novel payment services and other infrastructure services)
- Authorisation of and supervision over persons under Art. 1b BankG (fintech authorisation) as well as the new DLT trading systems
- Answering questions from other business areas of FINMA, other authorities or international bodies on topics of fintech regulation and supervision
- Monitoring relevant regulatory and economic developments at national and international levels and evaluating any need for action
Profile
- Completed law degree with bar admission and/or experience in supervisory auditing
- Strong affinity for digitalisation and preferably experience related to fintech business models
- Independent working style as well as pronounced analytical and editorial skills
- Open, sociable manner and ability to competently represent FINMA towards relevant stakeholders
- Very good German (C2) and English skills (C1), French or Italian skills (B1) advantageous
