About the job
Are you experienced in CNC manufacturing and looking to develop your professional skills further?
For one of our clients, an internationally active Swiss technology company specialising in high-precision machine tools, we are seeking several specialists in mechanical manufacturing.
We are deliberately not only looking for the perfect profile that already meets every requirement.
Perhaps you come from CNC milling or turning. Perhaps you are a toolmaker, polymechanic, or production mechanic. Maybe you have experience in flat, cylindrical, or tool grinding. Or you currently work in high-precision manufacturing and want to learn new machining processes.
What matters to us is your technical foundation, your understanding of precision manufacturing, and your motivation to learn new things.
Where you can contribute
Depending on your experience, strengths, and interests, different tasks and focuses may await you:
- Independently setting up, operating, and programming CNC/NC machines
- Manufacturing high-precision individual parts, small series, and special parts
- CNC milling, turning, or grinding
- Working with conventional milling, turning, and other machining machines
- Machining demanding workpieces according to technical drawings
- Setting up and optimising machines and manufacturing processes
- Quality control and working with high accuracy requirements
- Express and special productions
- Active participation in process improvements
- Specialisation in demanding areas of CNC and grinding technology, depending on interest
What you bring
You do not have to meet all points. A solid mechanical base and willingness to develop further are much more important.
Ideally, you bring the following:
- Training as a polymechanic EFZ, production mechanic EFZ, tool mechanic, cutting machine mechanic, precision mechanic, or a comparable mechanical qualification
- Practical experience in chip-removal or mechanical manufacturing
- Knowledge in at least one area such as CNC milling, CNC turning, grinding, toolmaking, or precision mechanics
- Experience in setting up and/or programming CNC machines is an advantage
- Knowledge of controls such as Heidenhain, Fanuc, Siemens, or comparable systems is an advantage
- Experience with conventional machining processes is also welcome
- Good understanding of technical drawings, tolerances, and quality
- Precise, reliable, and independent working style
- Enjoyment in solving technical challenges and learning new things
No experience in CNC cylindrical grinding yet?
Not a disqualifying factor.
If you come, for example, from CNC milling, turning, toolmaking, flat grinding, or another high-precision manufacturing and have the necessary technical understanding, targeted training in new manufacturing and grinding processes can also be an interesting prospect.
We are therefore interested not only in what you can already do today but also in where you want to develop professionally.
What to expect
Our client offers you a technologically demanding environment where precision is not just a buzzword. You will work with modern machines and sophisticated manufacturing processes while having the opportunity to further expand your existing know-how.
You will benefit, among other things, from:
- a varied and responsible role in an internationally active technology company
- modern and high-precision manufacturing technology
- careful induction into new machines and manufacturing processes
- personal training and development opportunities
- high personal responsibility and scope for initiative
- an experienced and collegial team
- 40-hour week and annual working time
- 25 to 30 days of holiday per year
- attractive social and employment conditions
Not sure if your profile fits?
Apply anyway.
In CNC and precision manufacturing, a job title often says little about what someone can actually do.
Send us your CV or LinkedIn profile. We will review your experience, technical strengths, and expectations together and discuss with you which role and professional development opportunity might suit you best.
We will, of course, treat your documents confidentially and forward them only after prior agreement with you to our client.
We look forward to getting to know you.
