Shape the Future of Computer Science Education
At the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, you shape the digital world of tomorrow. We are looking for a committed and strong leader to head the Bachelor’s degree programme in Computer Science, who will strategically and operationally drive the further development of the programme.
Your Responsibilities
- Overall responsibility for the Bachelor’s degree programme in Computer Science
- Strategic, professional, didactic and operational leadership as well as further development of the programme in line with the university’s strategy
- Ensuring quality, curriculum development and successful study operations
- Positioning the programme in the market and maintaining and expanding relationships with industry, schools and other partners
- Promoting a positive student journey and a vibrant programme community
- Responsibility for budget, resources and target achievement
- Leadership, support and development of staff and lecturers
- Close collaboration with institutes, degree programmes and other areas of the University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland
- Active contributions to teaching and, if applicable, research
Your Profile:
- University degree in Computer Science or a related field, ideally with a doctorate
- Several years of professional, project management and leadership experience
- Enjoyment of teaching and working with students, staff and external partners
- Ideally experience in higher education or curriculum development
- Integrative, communicative and innovative personality with strategic thinking and a desire to shape
- Very good German and English skills
- Higher education didactic qualification or willingness to acquire one
